History behind the name
BESTEMOR means “Grandma” or “Best Mom” in Norwegian.
This is a picture of our President, Julie Hvitfeldtsen as a child, celebrating her Bestemor Ragna & Bestefar Jakob Hvitfeldtsen's, anniversary. Also pictured is her Aunt Sighnhild and cousin.
Julie's experience in senior housing began when helping her own mom find senior housing. It was a very stressful time for their family, and they didn’t know where to get the help she needed.
With the high cost of care, they worried that she would run out of money and didn't know that they had other options if lack of finances had become an issue.
Through Julie's own personal journey and working in the senior housing industry for over 10 years, she has been able to assist many families going through the same experience.
You might not need care now, but it is better to be infomed and
'Proactive rather than Reactive'.
