Julie has an early background in property management and marketing. 

Over 19 years ago, she began researching an Assisted Living community for her own mother, and it was then that she discovered her passion for seniors. Julie started a non-profit called The Grand Connection, uniting seniors and children to help bridge the generation gap in an “adopt a grandparent” program with The Girl Scouts and Sunday school families. Julie has assisted hundreds of seniors when transitioning to Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care communities and Adult Family Homes. During the pandemic, she took a position working remotely from home for health reasons and started her own advisory business in 2021.

In her spare time, Julie loves to spend quality time with her family and friends, gardening, and baking. She is also co-owner of a vacation rental in Kailua-Kona, where she enjoys travelling each year to spend time snorkeling with the turtles!

Born in the United Kingdom to a family with roots in Shanghai, I received my education in both the UK and the US. My professional journey spans management roles across Fortune 500 companies in America and Asia, with a strong foundation in sales and marketing. This path ultimately led me to discover my passion for senior living.

I am fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Shanghainese, and Teochew. My global upbringing and international work experience have cultivated a deep cultural sensitivity and a genuine appreciation for diversity. I thrive in multi-dimensional teams and enjoy leveraging diverse perspectives to drive innovative solutions.

Also known as Kin-Wai, I hold a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business. Currently, I am pursuing a Master of Science in Senior Living Business Management at Washington State University, where my research focuses on redefining senior living as an emerging frontier of hospitality. 

Happily married to Crystal, I am a proud father to Matthew, Mark, and Michael. Guided by the belief that “the local church is the hope of the world,” I find joy in serving the community alongside my family through various church ministries.

 25-years of experience, I bridge the gap between complex project management and high-touch client advocacy. My career is built over 15 years’ foundation in Fortune 500 relationship management, where I led multi-country projects for major retail groups across Asia, Europe and North America.

For the past 9 years, I have leveraged that strategic expertise as a dedicated Realtor, specializing in the delicate intersections of real estate and life transitions. Now, as a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA)®, I provide a unique, holistic approach to serving seniors and their families. I combine deep market analytics with a 'customer-centric' philosophy to ensure that every move—whether downsizing or transitioning to senior living—is handled with organization and empathy.

Fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English, I am a leader who motivates across cultures and dimensions. Outside of my professional life, I am a dedicated Christian who finds joy in reading, traveling, and serving my community.
